Description
This amazing pendant was inspired by the Asante symbol for wisdom: what we gain as we seek understanding from the experiences we have in our life. Tribal symbols known as Adinkra have been used for centuries by the Akan people of Ghana and the Cote d’Ivoire on everything from walls to cloth and pottery. They are part of an ancient system of communal communication using visual imagery. Many of the messages are reminders of tribal values, legends, philosophy and life lessons.
Our pendant is hand cast in sterling silver and adorned with seven brilliant Ceylon sapphires and one Sri Lankan moonstone famous for its translucent sheen and mystical properties. Can also be used as a broach. Comes with an adjustable hand dyed cotton tie. Presented in a raw silk pouch and pretty batik covered box.
